“Bringing faith to life.”
At Reid Temple-North, we believe that people grow best in healthy and nurturing environments that allow them to meet new people and develop meaningful relationships as they progress in their journey of faith. That is why we encourage every member of our church to join a specific Life Group—a small community of 10 to 15 like-minded people of all stages of faith and life who are striving to achieve deeper connections with God, with each other, and with others in their lives. We currently offer a wide range of Life Groups, including those solely for married couples, women, and men as well as groups that bring together mixed groups of men and women. Still other Life Groups convene middle and high school students, while others organize adults who work in specific professions. A number of other Life Groups offer support for people dealing with difficult life issues such as spousal or child death, divorce, or loss. All provide members with opportunities for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, support, and service—in faith-filled, nurturing, and encouraging environments—as they grow spiritually, relationally, and Biblically.
Each Life Group follows a pre-approved study curriculum that is doctrinally sound and aligned with the church’s vision and core values as well as the ministry’s guiding principles. Groups typically meet for about an hour and 30 minutes each week for 8 to 12 weeks on a seasonal semester basis (Fall, Winter, Summer, and Spring). Life Group meetings usually take place in group members’ homes, at community meeting places, or at the church.
