Greeter's Ministry

And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)

With smiles, willing assistance, and kind words of welcome, our Greeters help to create a warm and friendly atmosphere that alerts all who worship at Reid Temple that the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit is in our midst. Greeters work closely with the Usher Board and with other ministries of the church, assisting in various capacities, to ensure that all Sunday and other church services run smoothly. They are expected to prepare prayerfully, arrive early, and serve courteously at the “front lines” of our sanctuary—providing high-level hospitality service to all members and visitors as they arrive. Their motto: to provide service to the body of Christ at Reid Temple so that the Excellency of the power may be “of God, and not of us” (II Corinthians 4:7).
