Romans 12:9-10

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Teon Abrams, Executive Administrator

Teon-AbramsTeon is from Georgetown, Guyana and moved to the United States in 1997 where he later joined Reid Temple AME Church in August of 2008.  Teon has been active in a number of ministries including Singles, Fresh Oil, Men's Ministry, Men's Choir and is currently enrolled in the Patricia D. Clark Christian Education Institute at Reid Temple AME Church to enhance his spiritual growth.  Teon believes that it is important to live by the word of God and to also lead by example.

Quote:  Matthew 6:33 - "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (KJV)

Teon has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.  He currently works in Washington, DC where he holds a Paralegal position.

Outside of Teon's career and church involvement, he enjoys watching sports, reading, spending time with family/friends and mentoring young men of all ages.  One thing that Teon loves about the YAC is that there are many individuals that love God and strive hard to do His will on a daily basis.

Jerrod L. Hines was on born in Easton, Maryland and spent most of his childhood growing up in Glen Burnie, Maryland where he discovered his love for music. Raised in a Christian, music-loving home, Jerrod began singing at a very early age.  He joined the church choir at the age of 7, and in 1997, while attending an Annual Youth Conference at the Cathedral Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Donald Hillard in Perth Amboy, NJ, Jerrod accepted the Lord into his life. From that point on, Jerrod realized the difference between singing and ministering His passion of ministering God's Word through music afforded him the opportunity to develop and direct a Youth Choir at his home church by the age of 15.

Jerrod received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Bowie State University in 2006, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education. As an undergraduate student, Jerrod was involved in numerous clubs and organizations such as the University Choir, Gospel Choir, Marching/Concert and Jazz Bands, the Psychological Society, and Campus Ministries. He served as Freshmen & Sophomore Class President and also served as a Resident Assistant. Jerrod was elected Student Government Association President in 2004 and was a recipient of “Who’s Who Among American College Students”. He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Jerrod has been a member of Reid Temple AME under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington since 2001. He joined YYAC in the spring of 2008, and currently ministers with Reid Temple’s 6PM service Praise Team, One Accord, Sean Tillery & Changed, VCJ and Michael White & True Praise.

Jerrod is a former Prince George’s County & Washington, DC Educator. He has a heart and passion to serve and help others. Whenever faced with a challenge he’s quick to remember his favorite scripture

Psalms 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

It’s only by God’s grace that Jerrod has been privileged to minister by spreading God’s word to all who desire to be blessed!

Briana Kelly, Praise Team Leader

Briana Kelly is dedicated to serving The Lord with excellence. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Briana began singing with her family at a young age at the Sharon Bible Fellowship Church in Lanham, MD. A product of a musical family, Briana grew up with an appreciation and a commitment to musicianship. Though her background is in cosmetology, she currently works as a GNA/Dietary Aide at the Crofton Care Rehabilitation Center. In this role, she provides elderly residents with the care they need to lead healthy lives.

In her free time, Briana can be found singing, laughing with friends and family, cheering on her favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Briana is serious about her relationship with Christ and recognizes that it is in Him that she moves, lives and has her being.

Her life verse is Philippians 4:6-7 "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." (NLT)

Briana joined Reid Temple in October of 2008 and began her tenure with YYAC in April of 2012.

Tiffanie S. Coates,  Soprano Section Leader

 Her favorite Bible verse is

Jeremiah 29:11-12- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (NIV).
