Class Leaders & Communities
The membership of Reid Temple, like that of every congregation of the A.M.E. Church since its founding, is divided into small organizational groups, called classes. All new or transferring members are assigned to a class after completing their reading-in process. Each class is headed by a Class Leader, who is appointed by the Pastor and trained in the history, structure, and disciplines of the A.M.E. Church.

Celebration of Life Council
“If you have a birthday, you have a ministry!”
Every month, Reid Temple’s Celebration of Life Council (C.L.C.) ministry hosts special fellowship activities for all church members born in that month. This creates an instant “spiritual family” for everyone who joins Reid Temple—and it can help YOU move from membership and fellowship to stewardship and discipleship. The C.L.C. also organizes volunteer teams that provide support for other ministries’ service activities so that new members can identify the ministry (or ministries) through which they can best serve the church as disciples.
Contact Sis. Carmen Ford, Ministry Leader, 301-352-0320, ext. 409, for more information on this ministry and its upcoming meeting dates and times. This ministry meets on the Reid Temple-Glenn Dale Campus.
